Meet the Lumière Dreamers: Kyrst Hogan

Kyrst Hogan (aka Burgundy Brixx) is a professional singer, dancer, actress, comedienne and neo-burlesque artist. She practices these skills both individually and merged to create neo-cabaret performance art. Her one-woman show, “The C-Word” about her cancer journey was voted Pick Of The Fringe and “Leaping Fringer” at the 2022 Vancouver Fringe Fest. She was selected to compete for the title of "Reigning Queen Of Burlesque" in 2012, 2013 and 2014 by The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. She has also been featured as a headliner and instructor at numerous arts festivals and conventions. She was the Artistic Producer of Kitty Nights Productions (2008 - 2021), winner of "Vancouver's Best Burlesque Show" the past seven years in a row in The Georgia Straight's annual reader's poll), and performs in the musical duos "KD" and "Johnny & June" with her husband Doug.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre with a Minor in Dance. While located in New York City, she performed professionally for five seasons in the singer's ensemble of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring The Rockettes (satellite shows), Atlantic City Casinos (Broadway on the Boardwalk series), as a singer for Norwegian Cruise Lines (Jean-Anne Ryan Productions) and more. Regional theatre work includes both musical and dramatic work under the performing arts unions AEA and AGVA.
