The Love Bubble Project was a pop-up outdoor experience designed to bring vitality to public spaces in a COVID safe and socially distant manner.  Our goal was to spread joy and love, through dance and music by highlighting local, talented and culturally diverse dancers and musicians.

The Love Bubble Project hit the streets of Vancouver in 2021 with 85+ artists, 25+ practitioners, held 85+ outdoor shows and reached over 68,000+ live and 1.2 million digital audience members.

The Love Bubble Project

LOCATIONS ~

The Love Bubble Project included various public spaces in Vancouver’s downtown core ~ Jack Poole Plaza, Robson Street - Bute Plaza, Yaletown ~ Bill Curtis Square, the Wall Centre, Dunsmuir Patio and Gastown ~ Maple Tree Square.

PROGRAM ~

The Love Bubble Project was specifically designed for impact “on the street”, so that members of the public can encounter performance outside of theatre walls.

Each activation is 2 hours in length and incorporates songs and dance chosen specifically for their ‘feel good’ lyrics and up-beat energy.  Dancers and musicians are invited to collaborate, perform and connect with audiences through informal discussions and workshops.

Small Stage connects people with culturally diverse professional artists from various cultural traditions and backgrounds in their community.

The Love Bubble Project offered audiences an opportunity to connect and experience live dance and music safely in COVID times.
