This Residency was funded through a Public Outreach Grant at the Canada Council. Activities were modified due to COVID-19.

This project was designed to be a multidisciplinary production that has multiple entry points and curated to reach and engage audiences beyond one particular medium. We will invite composers, mural artists and dancers to create new works that explore concepts and ideas through a multi-disciplinary collaborative process. This process will focused on diversity, cultural awareness and new socially distant performance practices.

ARTISTIC TASKS included

Sending love. Receiving love.

You are asked to improv 2 phrases (music or dance) and record them on video. 

• A phrase that comes out of you when you think of sending love.

• A phrase that comes out of you when you think about receiving love.

DANCERS IMPROV PHRASES

• Within your ‘sending love’ phrase please include 3 gestures that represent that act of sending.

• Within your ‘receiving love’ phrase please include 3 gestures that represent that act of receiving.
